    Great Game, Wrong Console!

Easy all, I was just reading some DS threads and everyone was talking about whatever their favorite title was, some were saying FF:CC. Which got me thinking FF:CC should really of never been a GC title. So that?s how it got me to create this thread, basically what's a really great game you've played by it doesn't really suit its initial platform. I'll start the ball rolling....

    Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles:
I remember all the excitement for this title before it came out, "omg Square are back with Nintendo", "its gonna be the best game ever!" Then all anti-climax threads that were created after it's release as it was a real multiplayer affair, which was done in such a manor that you'd have to be a millionaire to be able to take advantage of such a quality title. Many people were extremely disappointed, but would of they of been so disappointed if it came out as a DS title, I think not! Great game, Wrong console!

Virtua Fighter 4. That should've been the last hurrah from SEGA for the Dreamcast.

I disagree with you completely about CC. And if you already own a GBA, a cable only sets you back ?5.

People piss and moan about big, bad, wicked Nintendo "forcing" them to buy a link cable (or a GBA in some cases) just to play the game, yet don't bat an eyelid at the costs and general rigmarole involved with getting online. I've never understood that.

I like the Gamecube version and I have played it with the GBA link.

I will certainly be interested to see what the DS version is like. VG+ are quoting September 1st.

The online PS2 software which had the feature removed or not even released.

          No excuses with LIVE.

I'd play an online Monster Hunter.

Sorry to hi-jack, but to play FF:CC 2-player, do I need 2 gameboys, or will 1 do? And is zelda the same?
            Thanks!

              Great game, wrong console?

Surely Resident Evil 4 is the prime culprit.

An absolutely astounding game but one which very few people will experience at the moment due to it's GC exclusivity.

An Xbox release would have seen this game getting the recognition at retail it deserves.

Any Naomi port that's not on DC.

Monkey Ball, Ninja Assault, Guilty Gear XX...

Perfect Dark. As Edge said, never has a game been in need of better hardware that this. Pushing the N64 way beyond its natural performace limit even with the expansion pack this was a game in desperate need of more power.

it wsa only unacceptable if you ran it in high res or played certain levels in co-op. Nothing else was wrong from a technical standpoint.
