Has anyone played one game and as a result because of playing that one game became better at another game
here is a example i have been playing god of war after completeing it several times and the challenge of the gods i went to play devil may cry 3
and i found i was alot better than before i did far better combos and got higher ranks then before
another game was dodonpachi because it such a hard and unforgiving game as a result i found by self better at other similar games such as psyvarier 2 and mars matrix

Definitely with you there with the shooters. Playing the hard ones really hones you for the less hard ones.

been playin dodonpachi for the ps2 alot i then went and played gradius 5 and r-type final i just found them alot easier than before felt like i was playing them in slow motion

When I played Quake 3 (Rocket Arena 3 mod) seriously, we used to play Q1 Final Arena before league/cup games. It's a very similar game but a lot faster, half an hour of that and RA3 seemed very slow and became 'easier' to play.

Yep, Gitaroo Man increased my Gutar Freaks skills, which in turn increased my Drummania skills, and so on..

yes gitaroo i remember it clearly some of the levels i felt were impossible but after much playing i completed it (the final levels music i think is great) now playing through i have no problems at all almost makes me wonder how come i struggled getting through some of the levels (helped my reactions a bit to )

God yeah. Before I played GPL with a steering wheel I was only really good at Gran Turismo.

On the inverse - playing BO3 made me noticable worse at F-ZeroGX and BO1...
