I'm doing the review, looks like they have added some kind of story mode to the home version, but you are right it is predom a head to head game. That is where it really shines.Comment

I seriously feel that Initial D will get boring very fast at home unless they put in a truly SICK story mode with AI to rival VF4e's challengers - but even then it might not be all that. Initial D in the arcade is very social, for the first time since DDR/Pump I'm seeing the same number of girls playing as guys - and playing people for cards and money is just class!

True, legend of the street or whatever it is called. I hope the home version comes with a lot more extras mind. I want proper Anime clips as well as still frames, Split screen and iLink racing. And a proper ghost mode, music demo, replays, character bios, artwork, 3D maps of the courses etc etc. Basically I want it ALLOriginally posted by SaurianComment

That's what would make the game truly sick!
The game system is totally sound, all the tactics they talk about in the series can be applied to the game (like Guttering for example) - but they need to add a lot more to keep people playing at yard.Comment

Can you imagine if they put in an option for a solid ghost race where you have to overtake the ghost and you can't drive through it. Now that would be cool.
How about a GUMTAPE DEATHMATCH!!! option where steering is restricted. That should sort out the men from the boys.
