    DS Game Help, please

My ds is pretty negelcted and i bought mine on the Japanese launch.

I have played supermario 64 ds, project rub and puyo pop fever oh and alittle asphalt.

Would anybody let me know anything that is worth playing? i know gaming can come down to personal preference, but if a game is good, it is a good game, um, did that make sense!

Thinking of getting warioware touched ds, any other games that i should look to try?

    Thank you for any input

I'd suggest Kirby if you like platform games. Nice gaming mechanics, and loads of challenges to try and complete.

I would suggest Zoo Keeper. This is a very simple game but I find it surprisingly addictive. More of a puzzle type game if you like that sort of thing. If you are UK/Europe based then play.com have the game (currently In Stock) for ?17.99.

I love my Zoo Keeper, but Meteos is looking pretty good if you want to import from videogamesplus.com or somewhere.

Meteos is great if you are after an action game (it's not a puzzle game).

Another Code just came out and is pretty good from what I have heard.

Also, Pac Pix is excellent, as is Meteos and Kirby.

And Warioware is a must have, but that should go without saying!

I wouldn't necessarily say that. It was ok but suffered from getting pretty boring quite quickly. I know this type of games sections are meant to be rather hit or miss but imo there were rather too many misses!

AFAIK some of the gba variants are supposed to be much better.

I'd go with Meteos or Kirby. In fact Meteos should arrive any day now!

Not really a game that exploits the DS touch screen function greatly but Need For Speed Underground 2 has been great for me. Def the best driver on the DS at the moment if you fancy that kind of title and all officially licensed vehicles. Kept me entertained for hours travelling to and during holiday.

Yeah, Warioware Touched isn't anywhere near as good as the original GBA game. About as much substance as candyfloss and zero "One More Play" factor IMHO.

On the other hand, I can't recommend Yoshi's Touch and Go enough. It's devilishly short, but very varied and really deep. Great game to have if you're into score attack.

i'll second zoo keeper & yoshi, and add mr driller.

i'm a a big fan of the gba & cube drillers and i love drill spirits - it's got the right mix of modes on offer and is tough enough to challenge all.

stylus support = rubbish, but you'll come to appreciate the ds's d-pad which is superb, and it makes good use of wireless* & dual screen features.

*edit: as long as you don't get the NA version - no single cart multiplayer...

I wasn't a big fan of Wario Ware on the DS either. Feel the Magic has some much better and varied games IMHO.

If you want something very different, try importing Nintendogs.

For me, the best 2 DS games I have played are 'Kirby: Canvas Curse' and 'Yoshi Touch & Go'. I highly recommend them both.

Surprised to hear so much negativity towards Warioware. I loved it. It didn't have the impact of the original (obviously!), and doesn't have the novel hardware of Mawaru!, but still an excellent game which has kept me entertained for many hours. In short bursts of course, but that's how Warioware was meant to be played.

One game I certainly wouldn't recommend is Bomberman. The single player is just terrible, I mean really, really terrible. A giant step back from SP on the PCE, MD, and Sat Bombermans. It's fun in multiplayer of course, but even then is a little limited.

i think it's the best introduction to the platform you can get. but, for me, it lacks the lasting appeal of the original... gaining high scores on the individual mini-games feels more like a chore than the challenge it did 1st time around.

of course, if you've not played any warioware you *need* some!

I agree about Warioware. The DS version feels tiny and notably lacking in 'one more go' factor compared to the original. Hell, it hasn't got anything to match Paper Plane or Skateboarding from the original - those minigames alone kept me coming back to WW for over a year!

I might trade in Touched for Twisted, which I hear is ten times bigger and better all round.
