Tetris High Score

My girlfriend has rediscovered her old black and white Gameboy, along with Tetris. She now plays nothing else. As a result, I've gotten back into the game, and last night I got what I think is my all-time high score - 172 lines. It's been about ten years since I really played GB Tetris, and I can't remember what my previous high score was.

Needless to say, my girlfriend hasn't gotten anywhere near this score, but then everyone knows boys are better than girls at games. What makes me chuckle is that she's on it all the bloody time trying to better my score.

What's everyone else's high scores?

I think i'll have a go on wonderswan colour tetris later, i don't know if thats easier or harder than the original though

remember my high was 146 lines, also remember each game takes ages once you get upto the 100+ lines point.

I think mine was near 200, i was probably on medication at the time though.

My GBA is in my bedside cabinet. I will often have a go on it in bed, particularly if the wife is watching Big Brother. The other night I was on fire and not only completed Gradius on my first ever go, without losing a life, but I then got a mightily impressive 163 lines on tetris, and then completed Rodland. I have played Tetris since, and struggle to get beyond about 50 lines. It was the night when Big Bro was on for ages and they were all getting up to naughties.

210 was my best. I'd never broken 200 before then, and I never have since.

i think my best was about 230 lines, not played tetris in ages though... I used to mess up as soon as I actually noticed what level I was up to, I guess the panix would set in or something.

GB Tetris was around 150 iirc

Pokemon mini tetris was above 300!!!! (it is easier though!)

However i have difficulty playing the GB version now after playing the Pokemon mini version

i wish i still had the original tetris,
i remember being annoyed with anything less than 150 lines.
getting over 200 was being quite lucky, but i could do it often .

Tetris DX is apparently slightly easier than B&W Tetris though. I think my record on the B&W version was pretty decent as well, but can't say for sure since it was nearly 15 years ago I last played it.
