    Co-op games for PS2

I'm about to get a PS2 (for the 2nd time), and I want your ideas for some good co-op games to play with my gf. It's a bit hit-and-miss as to what she likes, so rather than try to describe them, I'll just list some stuff we've played before:
Kuri Kuri Mix, Extreme G 3, Rumble Racing, Baldur's Gate, Timesplitters 1/2, Tales of Symphonia...

Any games I should be looking out for?

    Thanks!

    Baldurs Gate 2 ?

I think maybe you should opt for a Gamecube - much more in the way of co-op / multiplayer fun to be had there.

Halo still one of the best co-op experiences ever IMO !

I've got a PS2 to sell my xbox (so done halo 1&2, and pretty much every coop xbox game I reckon), I've got a gamecube - though I guess I'd take suggestions, and we've done Baldur's Gate 2 (though I thought 1 was much better).
Thanks for the suggestions anyway though!

Edit: Thinking about it, I can probably make myself a bit clearer. I'm not necessarily after co-op games - Rumble Racing isn't coop, and I'm not sure xg3 is either. I'm after games that are 2 player though, and aren't just vs. cause although she's good at games, I tend to beat her too often, so we want games with a "proper" 2-player game. e.g. most racers have a 2-player mode, but very few can be played through fully in 2p mode. On top of that, it's rarely advertised - they just all say "2-player". So that's what I'm after!
      Not asking for much, eh?

      Thanks again

splinter cell chaos theory, very short and not as great as i thought it was going to be, but it was still good.

Tried SC:CT, bit too complicated and slow, but another good idea...

You finished Kuri Kuri mix Psyduck? We were just battling that nasty moon boss - neither of us have the skill to pull that one off, let alone both - at the same time! The annoyance factor is sure motherfreaking high :/

Anyway, we haven't tried it yet because I only finished on Sunday, but I want to try Ico in co-op mode (enabled once you have finished it once with one player) - that might be worth a bash, although you don't get to do much as Yorda?

Also how about Pikmin2 on the 'cube? Not tried it because my 'cube is sold (there is a one console rule here!! ) ), but that looks pretty good.

I'm personally waiting for We Love Katamari Damacy co-op, assuming of course we get a PAL release this time - grumble.

I was going to suggest Kuri Kuri Mix, an overlooked gem imo.

Starsky and Hutch is a rubbish game (I'm good at this recommending malarkey), but the co-op is hilarious. Worth picking up if you have a gun.

Speaking of which: Time Crisis 2. With the right hardware it's a joy.

Timesplitters 2 and Future Perfect are a laugh in co-op too.

Oh by the way is Baldurs Gate 2 player then? We might have to give that a try....

Gradius V is a fantastic game in co-op mode, really worth getting, and can be had pretty cheaply now. I had high hopes for Metal Slug 3, but sadly it just gets a bit crazy in 2p mode, and has tons of slowdown.

Project Eden is a decent co-op experience up to 4 players as well, if you can both stay awake long enough on the puzzels that is.

                      Lots more replies - excellent!

Yeah we beat Kuri Kuri Mix - absolutely fantastic, and pretty hard, but we made it. One of my first PS2 games and one of my favourites too.

Holding out for a cheap Pikmin 2, so that's one I will try.

Didn't know Ico had a 2-player mode, and will def. get that anyway, so that's one to look out for - thanks.

Also didn't know We Love Katamari was Coop, another definite - thanks again!

I love light guns even if she doesnt, but i've not had much luck with them on my widescreen TV so far - anyone know if they're a problem? Otherwise I'll definitely get time crisis and any others - and starsky sounds interesting?

We've done timesplitters 1 & 2 and loved em, but absolutely hated 3...

We've tried Project Eden and thought it was crap I'm afraid...

And finally, Gradius V is one I'll definitely get, but she doesn't really like shooters. Plus, It'd be too hard I fear - she won't like it if I'm much better than her.

Some excellent suggestions and a few new ones to me - thanks a lot and keep em coming!

Four Swords[+] is frankly brilliant (What do you mean you don't have GBAs?).
Crystal Chronicles isn't nearly so good, but might be worth a look (again, if you have/can afford GBAs). Works best with 4, I got a bit bored when it was just 2 of us.
I think Donkey Konga has co-op? Not tried it myself. Requires an extra outlay again though really.
Pikmin 2 is worth getting at any price.

Kuri Kuri Mix is as good as it gets on the PS2, I reckon (wish From would do more of this sort of thing). Play it through again!
Space Channel 5 part 2 might be a goer? If you can find a copy. I think it finally came out over here, or did it?
ICO's co-op isn't really that major. But get it anyway.
Obviously there's a bunch of shmups, all bastard hard of course.

If you put it on the easiest difficulty it's not too bad, and if you keep playing, you get an extra credit every hour of gameplay. Once you reach 15 (I think?) you get free play unlocked.

Worth getting for yourself anyway, I didn't expect a 3D shooter to be so good. (well, I liked Ikaruga, but I've only got a PAL cube, and it's 50Hz onle )

I've got one GBA, but buying another for 4 swords is pushing it I think, and from what I hear FF:CC is rubbish with 2 (doesn't one just carry a box around?)
Space Channel 5 probably isn't her cup of tea, but I fancy it anyway - didn't know it had coop so thanks.
2D shmups are all pretty much out (or 2D-esque), but other shooting games are possible...

We Love Katamari's co-op play is a bloody good laugh; my other half absolutely loves it.

Although arguments do ensue when she isn't pulling in the right direction.
