You can get the game in a similar form for the Nintendo 64DD as Talent studio, the disk comes with the capture cart for playing around with people's faces and you can also use the GB camera with it too.
It's not as nice graphically, but Stage Debut was the sequel to the n64dd application.
It really is the best thing on the 64DD and well worth getting one for if you really want to have something like this, the charcaters you can create are wacky and you can have stage shows with them in it and everything and it is all presented with Nintendo class.I put Importaku in one of my stage shows and myself along with some other charcters that I made using the different 64dd applications as well, I'll try to upload them one day.
EDIT: Scrap that about the graphics, I just had a look at some more screens of the GC version and it is only in a higher resolution.Graphics are much the same as the N64dd game, except it is using newer characters.
Nintendo should have released this years ago and beat Sony to the Eyetoy punch, after all Sony ripped off the idea and made millions because Nintendo was too cagey to release something that had failed on a previous sytem.I think the only reason the 64DD game failed was because you had to subscribe to Randnet to get it and there were less than 15000 units of the 64dd hardware sold.
If the game had been released on the Gamecube I think it would have majorly altered the success of the machine in Japan.Last edited by Mofoman; 02-08-2005, 08:38.

This application will let you transfer your face into GameCube software with the GameEye, a camera peripheral for the Game Boy Advance.
This link will take you to Gamespot's section on the title, it has a five minute video with no sound of the demo the Miyamoto san done at e3 the year it was shown.
Edit:
I have just found out that this game is the cobination of the unreleased Stage maker and Talent Studio combined!
Stage maker was a complete N64 DD game that never got released which is a real pity seeing what you can do with the Talent studio characters in this game. A japanese friend told me that Famitsu said the main reason this never got released on the GC was because of meory constraints with keeping your characters and stuff, as well as not finding an approriate windown to launch the game in.They have the memory card toch now, this was apparently one of the first games to be going to use the SD memory card adaptor as well.
Guess we will never find out what this would have been like complete, we never ever saw the release of the GBA camera that was made for this as well, Nintendo have been poor at releasing add on's after the DD disaster, I think they are still nervous about history repaeting itself, still we may see this game on the DS in some form as Miyamoto likes releasing non game game's for the system.Last edited by Mofoman; 02-08-2005, 10:08.
