    Splinter Cell PS2.

Did anyone ever play this game after playing the xbox version? most of the game was entirely different in level design... it felt crap and wrong and wrong again.

"Ah yeah i remember this bit, zip down this line... wait a minute.. where's that entire car park gone?"

i got myself a new mobile recently (moto v3) and thought i'd download a java game, just to try one out. there's always time for a quick go on space invaders i thought, it's an undemanding, 25 yo game, just how bad could the port be?

there aren't many things to screw up with 'invaders, but here's how to do it in three easy steps:

        1) make sure the ship can move much faster than anything else, so you can dodge a bullet that's only 2px above your current location

        2) remove the ability to fire whilst moving

        3) slow everything down until fighting boredom is the greatest challenge a player might experience

if it wasn't for the fiver i blew on getting it, i'd have laughed myself silly. unkindly, my lass did when i showed it to her...

Similar to Boggy - Gamecube Splinter Cell 3. Seriously demoted from Xbox version, just like the PS2 version, complete with horrible framerates here and there and missing sections. Surely the GC is capable of more?

Yes, saw java Space Invaders too, mattSix - a horrific sacrilege.

Sega driving game conversions, sega rally 1+2, f355 the list is endless. The worst is Pro Evo on the PC - the buttons still read as a ps2 set so it is "press x for this" etc! Good if you have a dual shock - bad if you habve to set it up as best you can.
