Will there ever be a Street Fighter 4?

It's interesting reading the first couple of pages how many people wanted SF4 to be hi res 2d. Well although SF4 isn't there are 2 new games which will be. The only problem is they don't have the name Street Fighter in the title.

Also someone mentioned detailed cell shaded 3d models that could look and animate like sprites. Tatsunoko Vs Capcom does something like this and it's possibly the best attempt at recreating the look and animation of a 2d fighter with 3d graphics. Again it's not called Street Fighter but at least it's by Capcom.

Well streetfighter 4 ...i have not played it....but it does look alot better then i was expecting ....ideally i would have liked a 2d hi res ...but really personally i cannot fault the look of it

I'm expecting SF4 to be very good from what I've seen and heard of it. It'll probably be the biggest fighting game when it comes out. They're also adding a lot of extra content for the home version.

But for those who wanted 2d hi res with high quality animation there catered for too although with a non Street Fighter game (but don't let that stop anyone).

There is also SF2HD if you don't mind it being a remake/remix with unchanged animation.
