What ever happened to the XBOX 1.5?

Did I miss the Xbox 1.5 thing? What that a load of ched? I was actually genuinely interested in what that might have looked like.

It was meant to be a smaller sleaker Xbox, in the ilk of the MegaDrive2 et al.

It was made up by Yahoo Finance in their desperate attempts to predict the future of the console business.

You will also note the lack of smaller PS2 and more mature-looking GameCube that their dreadful "journalist" claimed would be on display at E3.

I was reading that sony have got all the processors in the PS2 onto one chip and they would start producing a new machine in late autumn which would bring the unit cost down and allow them to make it smaller.
The newer version should be available at xmas or shortly after.

I can't remeber where I was reading this but it was only the other day, has anyone else got links to this ??
