Got some free tickets for Ian Livingstone's opening lecture thing on Wednesday or whenever. Nice in some ways but nothing spectacular having a little chat about where games originated from in the 70's and 80's then the usual 90's "SONY revolutionised the industry" stuff.

Started drawing nice patterns on my filofax as he began talking about Lara Croft and went on to show us about five minutes worth of Tomb Raider film footage and trailers then mused about meeting Angelina Jolie. Ended up with some shots and footage of the new Tomb Raider game from crystal Dynamics that I hadn't seen before and polite round of applause.

I'm suprised they couldn't get back into the Museum of Scotland for whatever reason for the "Go Play Games" exhibition although I gather it was sold out for a lot of times at the weekend down at the EICC.

Had free tickets for lots of stuff today including Kuji's Battalion Wars thing, and the Dare to be Digital ceremony. Been pretty busy so couldn't really make it to anything.

Not sure how popular the games screening things were this year as they seemed to be giving away a lot of tickets.

In other news, strange advertising gimmick of the week goes to Nintendo who had a cream carpeted VW camper van thing outside the EICCC made up to look like a massive canine for Nintendodogs!

kinda an offshoot here but Zelda:Twilight Princess is also playable in eastbourne right now at the airbourne show (which is a load of boring crap, held in a town too small for the no of ppl that come btw).

From what I saw/played I liked it. Everything seemed to work well, the controls, graphics, hud etc.. The horseback fighting was more fun than wind waker but it really doesnt stand out or seem as impressive in terms of art style, cant wait for the full game to come out now tho.

They also had a pikachu bouncy castle (which i couldnt go in *cry*), Pokemon XD (almost identical to pokemon colluseum), Pokemon Emerald (almost identical to pokemon ruby & sapphire), Pokemon Dash (old & crap), Nintendogs (didnt get a go) and then a truck with mostly mario games in, that were all old apart from Super Mario Strikers (was ok).
