I would have thought trying around, but i would preorder with gameplay if i were you. I spoke to my friend who works for them, and he said that they were getting 200 premiums a week. The only problem is that they're fulfilling back orders, and there were a hell of a lot of them! I've preordered one with them, just in case i can't pick one up quicker!

Dixons in Kidderminster say February....

Hmm... That's odd. I don't know how big the Kidderminster store is, but all stock for Dixons is set by HO, and they don't know exactly what's coming in on the securicor deliverys until a few days before, and the deliveries from the Local Distribution Centre are unknown until they arrive.

There is no way that person can speak with any real authority, but as an example, we were told not to hold our breath for a delivery by HO, and then the next day we had around 20 Premiums turn up only about a week after getting about 15 Cores. That was after having 4 Premiums as free stock on release day, and being told that there would probably be no more 360s before 2006.

Keep trying, I think you'll get one before February, although we're only allowed to sell them in 3 game bundles atm.

Kizzycrew, I'd suggest Dixons, in Cardiff we seem to be one of the very few people with them, and we've been getting them at a pretty consistent rate, all things considering.

As I said above, at the Cardiff branch; only part time atm becuase of Uni. I used to work at the Abergavenny branch before I went to Canada for a few months. Much smaller store, but they had Core consoles about 2 weeks after launch unsold.

Really? I love Cardiff, brilliant place. Are you at Cardiff uni? Would you be able to get hold of any premiums?

Yeah, I'm at Cardiff Uni, it's a brilliant place. I only live about 40 minutes away, and I've got family here too, so the odd cooked dinner is well received.

Aside from the fact that you appear to be a new member with no previous feedback, there are forum rules about selling items that you do not own, following the rllmuk and MD fiascos, so unfortunately I can't pick one up for you.

I'm working from 10-6 tomorrow, I'll find out exactly how many we have in stock and post on new years day, if you wish. The store is open every day now, even New Years Day and the Bank Holiday, if you, or a friend are near by.

I ordered a premium pack around 9days ago, and when I contacted Gameplay today they emailed back saying " Microsoft haven't confirmed when the next batch of 360's will be available, but please keep your order "

You are saying they are getting 200 a week. Other people are saying there are loads around, so it seems like Gameplay aren't being honest with me!

Well my contact is good for his word. He says that they've got so many back orders to clear, that it could take the best of jan to get some of the latest orders out. But he said that, MS are giving them a steady supply. 200 is the average mark, they're going out as soon as they come in. I'm in the same position mate. I'm waiting and hoping! Just wish i hadn't of cancelled my previous preorder, i would have had it by now! If you phone up the call centre, they're not really allowed to mention any stats or current stock status. Best bet is maybe try again and see if you get someone honest on the other end of the line. Btw what date does is say it could be after on your account page?

i picked up mine from Asda on the 28th, basically i made a list of shops phone numbers around here and rang them at and 9.00am and 2p.m (thank god for inclusive minutes) and fell on within a day of starting it.

Just persevere and you'll get one, dont make do with the core either as the pain of trying to find the HDD will make you wish you hadnt bothered

Gameplay are obviously giving me crap then. They reckon they are waiting for ' the next batch ', but they are obviously not. They are getting 200 a week, but can't give me a date, which doesn't make sense when you consider they must know how many people are waiting for a machine.

My order has no date on it, but when I ordered it said " Could be 14 days "

I might phone them and try and get some sense out of them.

Maybe they don't want to be giving definite dates in case their weekly supply stops?
