Yup, set to Auto Update. I guess it's no Metastasis for me

      That was fun.

Are there any other mods worth checking out?

There's a Starship Troopers-alike one called Antlion Troopers Deuce, but it chugs like a bastid on my rig...

Apparently there's a patch coming that'll boost the framerate...

Just played it now and it's a very nice bit of work, near pro quality I would say.

Makes me want Lost Coast even more now!

Just played through this on hard and my god I thought that was amazing, the music, the pacing the setting. I loved it, have to agree the tension when you finally get inside was... effective to say the least.

I actually screamed out at one point in terror when

I was supprised as a headcrab jumped out at me

Which never happened to me when playing vanilla Half-Life 2.

            I'm very impressed.

            Thanks for the heads up.

Totaly stunning. The creators of Minerva have achieved something of equal if not better quality to that of the original game, the tension is brilliant towards the end!!! Bring on part 2!

Haven't seen any other single player mods yet, although their is a good zombie based mod that pits you in an arena against a horde of on-coming crab heads with limited ammo. Its a 'see how many you can kill before you die' type mod. Think it was called 'exterminate'.

Indeed, really looking fwd to this. First part was excellent and I would advise anyone who didn't get round to/get the chance to playing it to give it a whirl...

                          Part two is out now

                          minerva, metastasis, single-player, half-life 2, hl2, episodic, maps, levels

Haven't had a chance to try it yet as I lost HL2 off my hardrive due to a severe system crash a few weeks back. This will make me get around to reinstalling it though

Word is that Part 2 is even better than Part 1, and features level design as good as if not better than Valve's own work

Now if only I could play it... sodding University firewall...

It's very good stuff again - a little slower in pace in parts than episode one but certainly not a slouch in the combat department. That said the download does include parts one and two so you can play it in all it's episodic entirety.

The sense of scale to the interior of the facility this time around is huge and it's construction is done amazingly well. It has to be one of the most lavishly constructed mods I've ever played.

The best thing is the read me file indicates we won't have to wait too long to see Episode Three
