I'm a little in the dark with all this. I'm using WAB Version changer on my PSP and Virtua Tennis runs fine on my Japanese PSP with 1.50 firmware. I've fudged the firmware to look like 2.0 and this seems to suppress the update. (I'm running homebrew so it definately works)

It would be helpful to know which games simply will not run under version x.xx and below.

agreed. I started one of these threads on rllmuk a week or so ago and got told about the hack and it works fine.

A list is definately still useful though

Winning Eleven 9: Ubiquitous Evolution is said to be 2.0. Apparently the WAB changer still works with this though so good news for us with the 1.50 firmware
