Its the console exclusive games that really make the console i would have liked it if the controller was so different that it would have been impossible to have conversions.

      Isn't it?

I'm not sure how the freehand screen-aiming could be replicated on a normal pad

You seen the adapter for it that turns it into a more regular joypad i would have liked it if it did not exist

Then how are you going to be able to play the old snes and n64 games you download?

            By using a Gamecube controller.

the gamecube controller will never be able to emulate the snes and 64 games well, how are you going to play snes games well with that d pad? or with those face buttons? how about the n64 there was 6 face buttons on it while the GC pad only has 4. It just won't feel natural playing N64 and snes games on the GC pad, and seeing that backwards compatability with every nintendo game is something that nintendo are pushing as a big feature of the revolution then they might as well try to get it 100% right and that starts with the controller. And even if the GC pad could emulate the snes and n64 pads well (which it can't) they are not going to be widely available once the revolution is out. Thus the adapter will be a must buy for those seeking to take full advantage of the revolutions capabilities.
