Possible inspiration for Revolution controller?

I think Miyamoto has been travelling first class. I started working in the airport this week and I was on a plane where they had controllers almost identical to the revolution. You have the TV controls on one side, you turn it over and its a phone, you turn it sideways and it's like a SNES pad. It looks incredibly similar.

They have these in economy too you know! Virgin planes have had them for years.
