My local Gamestation were selling a Green XBox for ?222

Had about 4 crappy games with it but are the Green ones commanding a premium these days? Unboxed too I think.

Oh, and they also had my previously sealed Steel Battalion Controller set up in the window (as Davehollis and Bleeders may well have spotted)

gamestation stores are margin controlled by the managers so you'll find preowned hardware priced at different prices store by store

You'll also find new games non pre owned games priced differently: GGX2 was 15 quid i newcastle but a recent trip to harrogate allowed me to acquire one for 10

not been to Romford for couple of months but will look for it when go tomorrow, can't believe they have taken a sealed item, opened it and stuck it in the window.

Speaking of rip offs, saw used PAL PSP Ridge Racers in GAME yesterday, bargaintastic ?29.99

I used to think it really stupid as well that they have to open a sealed item and sell it. But thinking of it, I'm sure people would try to scam them with 'sealed' games that have nothing in them.

Newer games are always priced like that. Rip offs obviously, but someone must buy it

I remember the old days of Gamestation as i live in York where it started. It was a tiny shop you could go in and haggle for the amount you got for your games it was an awesome place, filled with people that actually liked games and cared. Shame it has become so massive and just as Lame as Game, well those old days have passed seems as tho most small bussnesses are destined to be killed off by the large companies now.

When living in Leicester a few years ago I met the new manager of Gamestation at a party. He had just come from Leicester City as a manager of their club shop and told me he wasn't really interested in games. Says it all really.

Think it was because no one was biting (they reduced the price by ?20) so they wanted to show how nice it was - and it does look nice to be honest! I was almost tempted to buy it back!

Looks very impressive though. Shame it never really took off.
