for a number of reasons, i'm currently unable to purchase anything online, so i've been reduced to actually visiting local game stores for my fix... how 20th century is that!?
trawling the stores in broadmead (bristol city centre) this lunchtime, i was surprised to be struggling to find a copy of meteos, only 4 days after it's release...
the two 'game' stores had one copy between them (which i reserved & bought, so you're out of luck there!), zero at gamestation, eplay, cex & dixons. in fact, the only place with a copy on display anywhere was virgin.
i guess what disconcerted me the most was, if i hadn't already known it was released, i would have been none the wiser that a new ds title existed from my little tour...
what's going on here? have the general public caught on to the reported excellence of this title? are ds titles getting stocked in very low volumes? do game store buyers just have too many platforms to think about right now?
