Boot Sales - 19th June 2005

Thought I would kick this off as it's that time of the week again.

Now usually I come back with some excellent buys, this week however I came home to see the parents and ended up going to an absolute cack boot sale...

Mickey Mouse Magical Mirror (Sealed, PAL GC) - ?1
Total Immersion Racing (Sealed, PAL XBox) - ?1
South Park: Chef's Love Shack (PAL DC) - 50p

Shouldn't grumble I guess but I miss my regular boot!

Don't worry lads - the car boot gypsy king Seany has once again found some goods at the booty to make up for those three cartoon based shockers:

Metal Slug X - PS1 - ?2
Megaman X6 - PS1 - ?1.50
Street Fighter Alpha 2 - PS1 - ?1.00

All in nice condition. Keep on finding Alpha 2 for some reason. The 'Slug has been donated to our 7 year old, as I have the superior Japanese version. In fact - he is enjoying some 2D run and gun action as we speak - he is already pretty good at it as I started him out a few weeks back on the Neo version!!

On top of those three games, also got a cool book that shows you how to draw manga-style characters, and a Bullseye dartboard with question categories on it and an original book of questions based on the TV show. "Listen to Tony. Nothing in this game for two in a bed". It is absolutely boiling down here is Saaarfhaaampton so am going to spend the afternoon drawing. May have a go at my own interpretations of some SNK characters - geektastic. Then this evening am going to get the beers flowing - too hot at the moment though.

I don't know how to interpret that. Are you joking, or do you really think all of us go to boot sales every week and buy EVERYTHING we see that is console related?

picked up a box full of atari 2600 and atari 7800 games for a fiver some real classics in there too, xevious, pole postion 2 ect i will post some pics later if i get chance.

Also picked up an afx vertigo slot racer thing for 7 quid thats in mint condition, one guy had a massive stall full of videogame related stuff but was asking far to much for half of it, must of been a collector thining out his stuff by the look of it as there were no real Rare stuff just lots of overpriced tatty megadrive an snes stuff.

Keep on finding Alpha 2 for some reason.

I think I saw one of the supermarkets dumping a shedload of them cheapish a while back. My guess is that they got bought by parents who are now ditching them because Johnny 8-year-old (the main market for PS1 games these days) can't cope with 2D fighters these days.

I did alright yesterday.

Got a Beatmania boxset for ?4. Got home and there was no disc in the game box - luckily I already have a copy without the turntable so I put the disc from that into the new one, as the one I got yesterday was in better condition anyway.

Picked up an unboxed Megadrive MK I with boxed Paperboy, EA Sports Double Header and Madden 97 also for ?4.

Got Ninja Gaiden, Rastan and Shinobi for the Master System for 50p each. Ninja Gaiden - what a wicked game.

Finally, got the superb Skullmonkeys for PS1 for ?2. Funniest FMV sequences EVAR!
