    Game Warning Thread!

I like the family vibe about this forum, we may not all see eye to eye on things but are united in our common love of videogames *Group Hug Y'all*

Anyways, as a member of NTSC-UK, I feel it my obligation to issue the following warning about Nintendogs:

DON'T LET YOU GIRLFRIEND BUY IT

Being very much in love...with my DS, I have always wanted my significant other to share in my hobby and, after teasing her with the "He's waiting for you" Lab postcard I picked up in Game and the ubercute back page of the latest GamesTM, we headed down to HMV. She was very excited and although we wanted to get the Lab pack we actually settled on the Golden Retriever pack for overall dog quality. She had named our new pet before we'd even switched on the DS o_O

Anyways, I was initially overjoyed that my girlfriend was having so much fun petting and walking her new dog, of course it was now HER dog as she was feed it the voice commands.

And this is why I issue the above warning. "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Treacle!", "Good girl", etc....

If you wish to warn your fellow gamers of the potential nightmare a seemingly innocent piece of software can bring here's the place!

So what did you call your dog then?

The female of the species is obviously much more "creative" when it comes to dog names! I am sure there are some much worse possiblilties. You'll kust have to hope she doesn't get another couple of dogs to go with it!!

My opinion is that this game is best played in privacy (has anywone here ever played it on a bus or train?). Regardless of the name I could not see myself playing this game in public. At least it is not a real dog with that name as you would probably have to call it by name in public on occasions!!

Uh oh...I told my missus I was going to buy a DS at next payday.

Weird thing is my missus once had a labrador called Treacle!

          Spooky!

I haven't been able to buy a dog because she's spent a lot of our money on water and dog food fearing it will die if it's not fed everyday...

It could be that I'm just jealous. I've learnt to mimic my gfriends calls of "Treacle" with a whistle so I can at least play 'catch the Frisbee' with her, but when petting her I get accused of abuse >_< Also for the commands to work it seems that the TV must be put on mute. I think the mute will have to go!

I called my dog "****head" a la The Jerk. At the moment I see very little of either my DS or PSP thanks to the twin evils of Meteos and Lumines. My girlf's actually incredibly good at Lumines - far better than me. Don't have a single entry left on the hi-score table.

Entered Treacle in the Frisbee Comp and won enough money to buy my own dog, Jeremy Beagle. He is a right little tearaway Missus wasn't too pleased when I told her I'd 'donated' Treacle to the kennel

              I hadn't really...

I guess I should put down the DMC3 warning:

THIS GAME WILL MAKE ALL YOUR OTHER BEAT-EM-UPS LOOK CHEAP!

I can't wait to play my (yet to be purchased) Nintendogs copy in public - surely that's the best part? Nothing quite as satisfying as sitting amongst all the little kiddies in Hyde Park screaming,

"SATAN! SIT! I SAID SIT, DAMNIT!"

My secret dream of becoming one of those crazy old ladies who dribble on park benches is slowly becoming true...

Just to clear this up (because I'm unsure), can you have two dogs on one cart, so my wife and I can have one each? Because I want to get the Blue DS + Nintendogs bundle next month, and I just know she's going to nick it off me.

I think you can have at least 3 dogs on one cart, all running around your lounge being way too cute. You can separate them up by putting some into the Dog Hotel if you want to concentrate on just one.

Although when they say dog "hotel" i'm not convinced, its prob a tin hutch in some dark alley somewhere My bitches stay at home

Probably something about that in the first play thread, the only other person I know with a DS had the screen smashed in by his wife - she claims it was an accident...
