    What's with the PSOne market?

I thought that backwards compatability was going to mean re-releases of all the best the PSOne had to offer and maybe a few Saturn ports into the bargain.

All I ever see in my local stores are Mary Kate and Ashley, Barbie something or other and Fifa. They're all priced at 25 euro too.

The preowned section has a few old classics; Wipeout, Ridge Racer Revolution, Tekken 2 but they're all 15 euro each with smashed cases and no sleves.

Why aren't they rereleasing all the classics? They could fit a ton of them on a DVD; racer collections, fighter collections, shmup collections. All those niche titles that wouldn't sell on their own would do very well in a compilation.

You can?t look at the PAL market and hope these things come through. Frankly I don?t have a clue how the European publishers works. There is one great release I come to think of: -The Capcom generation 1-5 bundle on ONE pal disc!!

I just love the Japanese PS one and PS2 budget scene. I recently bought the re-release of Shienryu which is great and then you have all the 1500 and 2000 budget releases to choose from.

For example go to www.yesasia.com and do a search on Simple 1500 or Simple 2000.

All the big publishers from Capcom, Konami to Playmore are re-releasing oldies to the PS one. Metal Slug, King of Fighters 97/98, Genso Suikogaiden etc etc.

Also check out NCS PS1 preorder section - for example this August comes the re-release of the rare Konami classic Policenauts!! price $23.
