The "Mode7" levels from Contra are missing too (but for me, that was a good thing)

Steel empire is got a good review in games tm, havnt played it though, its a port of the megadrive game.
The mode 7 levels from gba contra 3 were dropped becuase Konami, for some reason think the gba isnt suited to vertical scrolling gameplay, but i didnt like those levels etheir. And vertigo, maybe the problems with yoshis island were more down to the fact the snes game contained a fx chip?, rather than the gba being lacking, though as ive said before im not a tech bod, but im sure the gba is more powerful than the snes?

Steel Empire I finished on the Megadrive the first time I attempted to 1CC it, which was probably the third or fourth time I played it. Soooo easy. It may be a conversion of an old SNES game but I found Phalanx to be much more fun on the GBA.

SuperDanX: but the Super-FX is only an extra processor and if the GBA is 32-bit and has the ability to do extra stuff like 2 layers of 'mode7'-type graphics, etc, it's surprising that things were missing from GBA Yoshi's Island, no?

Guru Logic Champ needs to be in any GBA collection.

Blimey was just about to say the same thing. In retrospect, it should have got 13/10. It's utterly the best slow pace puzzler I've ever played.

I know it's your choice and not mine, but while I did enjoy FZMV it got a bit annoying after a while with all the A button tapping to go around corners, and if you didn't know about it by reading the manual or watching the attract mode, it wasn't particularly obvious how to stay on the track so wasn't easy to pick up for non-gamers or people who weren't in the know. Because of the cornering thing, it didn't really feel like proper racing.

Mario Golf is also good until you get to around level 18 or so, then the ****ty AI really shows itself as it fails to compete and 90% of the time hits 75% powered shots with disgraceful accuracy. My level 50 chap can hit twice as far as most of the CPU characters and playing a doubles cup with my partner who's also level 50 her shot making is disgraceful even with the best ratings for ball control and accuracy. I only remembered it coz I was playing it last night for a bit, to see what there was I hadn't done (not much). It's a real gyp that half of the unlockable special holes and 4 characters can only be obtained by linking to GC Mario Golf.

Is Guru Logic Champ like Picross, or what? I can't really tell.
