I've not looked but I can't help but feel that those who are having overheating problems aren't giving it enough space for ventilation.

I mean it wouldn't exactly be a hard test for MS to do: does this thing run for 24 hours without overheating?

If you think about it lots of AV racks don't have a lot of room for ventilation with tight fitting shelves etc. I think I'll just leave mine to the side with plenty of room. But if the worst comes to the worst I've got a spare fridge!!

I wouldn't worry chaps, the internet really helps a very small vocal minority blow these sort of things out of all proportion. MS customer services is top notch, the demo pods which run 12 hours a day all seem to be coping well, and they even have a machine in redmond which drops them on the floor 24 hours a day..

At least we dont have dead pixels to worry about

I think someone who worked in Game posted in another thread that the demo pods are fitted with an exteral cooling fan

I'm sure that the overheating problems (ignoring those reported by fanboys) are few and far between and are mainly down to people not using a bit of common sense. If the console/ power supply are given adequate space and not placed next to heat sources then there should be no probs.
