MS Advanced Scart with 360

First post and I hope this is in the right place.

Hoping to pick up my pre order 360 next Friday and need to know if the MS Advanced Scart RBG cable for the XB works with the 360?

No it will not. The Xbox 360 has a different socket on the back, so you'll have to buy a new RGB SCART cable.

Microsoft have stated that none of the Xbox peripherals and leads will work with Xbox360.

um,there is'nt an RGB Scart cable available to buy at launch though ony the the avanced AV Scart cable.

According to the official XBOX site, the Advance AV scart cable IS RGB!

isn't the lead that comes in the premium pack a component lead but with scart adapter for rgb picture ?

I think its component for HD and 'lovely' composite with scart adapter...

I presume it would be just like the lead that comes with the first XBOX

The SCART block that attaches onto the RCA/phono leads doesn't boost the signal to RGB though. I'm pretty positive they're bringing out an advanced scart lead at launch, all the shops have dummy boxes for both that and the HD VGA cable.

oops my mistake if true.I allways believed that an AV Scart does'nt give out a true RGB quality picture.

Damn, I was hoping to use my existing s-video leads from my old XBox as well.

Particularly as I haven't seen any sign of an s-video connection for the 360 and that's the only option I have with my TV!

There is an official S-video Lead but I imagine they won't bring it out in this country as its not very popular. You'll either be able to get one from the US or maybe a 3rd party one
