Mario & Luigi 2:Partners In Time anticipation thread

I know that talk is all things 360 at the moment, but this little peach (ho ho) is released in the USA of America next week - is anyone else getting it & are you looking forward to it (like me)? Doesn't seem to be being spoken about much anywhere though

I loved the GBA game - for once in my life, I enjoyed, rather than feared turn-based battling, & the game's script had some genuine chuckle-out-loud moments - I'm hoping that's something that's been taken into account for the next game.

There's a review here although I've yet to read it for fear of spoilers.

    Anyone else?

Mario & Luigi RPG was a great game. The fact that you gained experience after a battle made it gratifying to play the game. The fact that you had to press buttons at the right time made the battle dependant on you and not only how much EXP the characters gained.

RPG2 is definitely a title I'm waiting for and not because the DS is severely lacking in the gaming department at the moment. This and Metroid Prime Hunters are the only games I have any sort of anticipation for. At least the review supplied above gave this game a top score. The first one was good. Is this better?

The GBA game NEVER got boring at all, unlike Paper Mario 2, which had its stretched-out moments. My only fault with the GBA game was the final boss, I guess I wasnt levelled up enough to beat it. But still it was a FUN final boss!

The GBA game was perfection in the way it constantly threw new things at you, whether it be in terms of the story or in terms of the gameplay. I loved the part when you had to guide the princess in desert!

I hope the dual screen has really lent itself well to the new game, I am hoping for more than just a sequel of the GBA game, I want it to really take advantage of the dual screens in an original way, it is the least you would expect for such an original game

The boss in the first installment was a bit difficult in my opinion as well. I guess I was underleveled for it too. But it was such a daunting task to level that I had to beat it with the current one's. I was actually glad because of it. It was a J-RPG boss that was actually challenging!

The review above comments on this. Check it out if you dare.

I've never done the final boss, i tried again the other day but it was too hard sat on teh train. I didn't realise the sequel was out so soon, i'll probably pick it up when it gets a uk release.

I wanted this, along with Animal Crossing, but for now the 360 is putting a massive strain on finances

Oh well, I'll have to wait......

It definitely took me a few goes to beat the last boss on M&L too, but I did eventually do it. Would like this but I still don't have a DS of my own and would prefer Thousand Year Door first anyway. Have bought my own copy of VJ for my christmas present to myself instead though and have plenty to be going on with, so I must show some restraint.

I had no idea this was out so soon! There are so many DS games coming out that I want to buy, I can't keep up with them all.

I know, I've already picked up five here in the US this week, plus you've got this and Animal Crossing out next week as well. It's madness!

And people STILL moan that there aren't enough decent games out.

For some reason I though this was out at the end of December! Brilliant to find out I'll be playing it next week
