Game Oxford St Midnight Madness

Game will be the offical launch site for the 360 for ya'll that don't know. They are opening at 1200am to sell the 'first' 360 console .....

Apparantly they are gonna have live music, pyrotechnics, entertainment etc etc...

Anyone know exactly what is going down? I want to know what time to get in the que. I've got a core pack reserved and my cousin got the last core pack available.

Anyone else going? I'm taking my PSP for survival....

Most of the Game stores in the UK will be doing these launches at midnight so there should be plenty of 360s in homes come Friday morning. I was one of the midnight launches of Halo 2 that Game done in East kilbride, Scotland last year, some light refreshments and a massive queue, was good though, being one of teh first to pick it up.

Hope to do the same with the 360 in Glasgow this Thursday and am sooooooooo looking forward to it.

Most stores will be doing the midnight launch so expect to see a lot of posts on Friday telling tales of the midnight launch madness, hunting down a console. into the early hours

What makes you think that is what you will have to pay?? None of the bundles are forced on me so dont talk nonsense.

I have my premium pack confirmed with my choice of accessories and games sorted along with it and the most I will need to pay for everything I want is 450 notes, so I cant wait for those doors to open at Game.

As a matter of interest where are you picking yours up from??

Hey, don't shoot the messenger, I'm only commenting on what I've seen in-store and read. It might be different for Oxford Street, but my local GAME are forcing those packages on people - Premium pack plus every launch title.
As for me, who is to say I don't already own a 360?

Well it aint a message I have heard so I will be enjoying the launch and picking up all I want for a price I can afford, no problems.

Forcing the console and all titles on customers is crazy though, doubt that is a compulsory deal for all customers. It certainly aint for me or anyone else I know.

My local game have 3 bundles listed - ranging between ?600 - ?770 in total

I doubt these bundles are compulsory though... surely a customer can go in and simply lift a pack from the shelf and one game, granted they have some in stock? These bundles are advertised but I aint seen or heard anything to suggest they are forced on you.

The bundle I am picking up is made up of 2/3 games I want plus some accessories and it will come to roughly ?450 so if you ask me that is pretty good.

So, if you aint got a pre-order and you want to pick one up of the shelf you will have to pay for a ?600+ bundle, thats a shame... dont see how they gonna shift those though if that the deal they got on them.

My order is at Game, it is confirmed and it is going to cost me ?450... so no forced offer here.

i just think forcing sales like that is wrong but mugs out there will buy there kidz these packs really stupid all i want is PD0 and a premium pak but if they wont sell me that o well my money will be spent elsewhere lol

Thursday Launch at Game Oxford st not forcing packs...when I rang they said I could get console and whatever accessories I want. Also said they had loads of PD0, COD2, PGR3, AND KAMEO's to go around. It is possible HD drives may run low as they haven't got many of them.

ive had my confirmation on one unit and im waiting on confirmation(which i should have tommorow morning) on another unit at another retailer.

If anyone one here gets a spare, what r ya gonna do? Sell it for a tasty profit or help some poor soul out. im undecided.
