I see you can now change your gamertag for 80 marketplace points. What happens to your friends list, do you lose it?

Ive been hunting in the live FAQS on xbox.com to no avail.

As I understand it you can change your tag but all of your friends lists etc, remain static as they are now linked to your gamercard not your tag ! Had no idea you would have to pay for the fecking privalage, ms don't miss a beat do they !

It's good that you have to pay, otherwise you'd have losers changing it every single day like people do on MSN.
