Could this be a return to form? I really hope so... Sands of Time was great, but Warrior Within was an abomination.

I liked Warrior Within actually but youre right its nowhere near the game Sands Of Time was. Thing is though, both the other two games had pretty crap fighting IMO so seperating the combat from the platforming again might help slightly but I think It needed more than that, so I'll have to wait till I get a chance to sample it myself before I decide if I want to buy it or not I think. Also its hard to get the general feel and atmosphere of a game from a review and that is really what made Sands Of Time speical. Well and the running up walls and flipping about helped, but those mechanics are a bit old now so probabaly arent enough to impress on their own. -
Is the prince still a hairy 'realist' or has he gone back to being a disney style geezer? Cos if it's the former, the game is still broken regardless.Comment

Someone on the EG forums has been saying this is a return to form, and that the Prince is more like the one in The Sands of Time than Warrior Within. The same voice actor has returned (SoT), and there's much less emphasis on combat apparently.Comment

Hmm yeah, they say that but from looking at all the screens it looks exactly like WW. Not a trace of cartoon appearance in them.Comment

Good to hear there is less enphasis on fighting. That is what let warrior within down imensly so that it became ridiculously frustrating!

My copy will be with me in a few hours for sure, and IF I am allowed to keep it to play - and it isn't taken from me and returned as an Xmas present I will let you know what I think
I loved the original game, and whilst WW was good, it wasn't as good as SOT and the bugs in it really annoyed me!Comment
