Will the VGA cable improve picture quality on this?

Thats basically the TV I own. ATM its used soley as a PC monitor, to which it serves that purpose perfectly. However, when switched to TV mode and running my 360, the picture quality looks like complete and utter ****e

Before I fork over the cash for the VGA cable, I need to know whether or not it will make a noticeable difference. I have tried the HD component cable with it, but it wouldn't allow me to pick anything other than the lowest resolution.

If not, could someone recommend me a reasonably priced setup that would allow me to experience my 360 in all its luverly glory? Cheers.

I'm guessing that you couldn't connect up the Blue green and red cables into your tv? I don't think the TV has the right sockets. If this is the case , then YES it will definately massively improve the picture

It is the component cable that comes with the 360 isn't it? I currently have the red, white and black cables fitted into the RGB block which is slotted into the back of the screen. On my CRT its fine, but thats only about 11" or so and I want it working on my LCD monitor - when I connect the RGB into the LCD monitor, its poor.

The TV obviously has the VGA slot as its used for the PC gaming, but I have no idea if the cable will allow me to access those higher resolutions as I don't know whether or not the TV can access them.

Did you get the premium or the core pack?

Premium, but the 360 currently has the RGB portion of the component cable fitted into it.

sounds like you are using the Composite connections on the cable, which is the second worse picture quality available, so yes VGA would make a huge difference.

I hate to break it to you, but plugging the 3 cables into the Scart block doesn't make RGB, you are currently viewing in the devils work....composite This gives you the skankiest picture imaginable. You would benefit from using the VGA cable 100000000 fold.

To get RGB you have to buy a separate cable, as no console has ever come with an RGB lead.

Go VGA and prepare to be shocked

EvilBoris the Saturn originally come with a Scart RGB lead, but peeps complained so after a few months it got replaced with a RF cable

Well, even with what I have plugged in, the visuals still look hugely impressive. With my LCD TV, my PC games look 100x better than the console games would if hooked up to it so I'm hoping for the same sort of thing once a VGA cable is fitted into the 360.

                  Cheers for the help guys.
