How much are the points in terms of real cash? Cant seem to find this info on the Xbox site.

And I know I can transfer an old Live account to 360, but will this be full Gold Membership?

if the account was still under subscription then it will be a Gold membership

100 points costs something like ?1.24 and multiplies up from there. From what I have seen there is no discount for buying large amount at once.

1000 points is something like ?8.50 (can't remember exactly). A 2100 point card from GAME costs ?17.50.

A bit pricey IMO. I'd rather pay a flat fee for content I buy rather than 'points'. I guess its far easier for others to pay for things, but I'd rather buy it as it comes for example downloadable content.

Seem as the points are cheaper in the USA, could I buy one of the prepaid cards from there and use them over here on a UK machine.

Can you not just buy them online? Surely this is easier, just press X to buy points

400 points for geometry wars, fiver ish i guess? Most games are around that, Mutant Storm is 800 but thats about it. You can buy themes and pictures but I see little need... rather spend the money on TEH GAMEZ

I did read the feature but that doesnt tell you prices in detail, does it?

At present the points system works out at roughly ?4.00 for 500 points.

Items like additional pictures for the Gamercards or Dashboard themes are plentiful and relatively cheap ? costing 20 points or between 150 to 200 points respectively. The Arcade titles vary in price but can cost up to around 800 points

I have not bought any points i thought this was a scam email , so i logged onto my xbox live account and there was 6000 points on my balance .I then checked my debit card and there is no record of any payments, Any idea how this happend ?

Yes, a hacker bought them with your card, transferred them into coins on FIFA Ultimate Team (you'll see FIFA in your played games list) and sold the coins on eBay for cash. They then transfer the coins to someone using your account.

Get on the phone to Microsoft ASAP, and if the points are still in your account SPEND THE DAMN THINGS NOW, ON LITERALLY ANYTHING. QUICKLY. If you don't spend them, the hacker will. There are TONS of reports of this happening, you're one of about fifty thousand at this point, it seems. There are huge threads on GAF and rllmuk with people that have been victims of this. Expect to lose access to your account for a month while they fix it, but you should get refunded and stuff.
