What not to do with your new 360

On the subject of "what not to do with your new XBOX 360", I have this tale to tell ...
I got mine a couple of weeks back, ebay from Germany. After all the ranting about heat issues, I decided to install it on the shelf above my TV, rather than in the enclosed space beneath it.
Also on this shelf is my hifi, one of them big chaps with a separate turntable on top. I run all the wires for it through a wee hole in the shelf. After looking at the width of the bit on the end of the 360's power cable, I conclude that I'll never manage to get it through the hole unless I take all the other hifi cables out, install the 360, then put all the other cables back through (cos they're much thinner).
So I put the 360 on the floor, and proceed to uninstall the hifi. I detach all the cables, lift it off the shelf, and proceed to put it on the floor. Of course, I have missed one cable, which pulls taut, the hifi tilts, and the turntable slides off the top, falling straight onto the 360. The turntable breaks into four pieces, and the 360 has a big black scrape across the top.
A happy ending: the 360 still worked OK, and with some minor repairs, the turntable still worked also.
