Funniest moment in a game

List em all if you like or you could even give a 'funniest moment in a game 2005' award. Why don't games magazines have awards like this? It's a damn shame!

Well here are mine:
GTA: San andreas (xbox): when mad dogg(or whatever his name is) is playing a game with driving noises and he says something like 'damn tanner you suck' and 'how did reflections mess this up so bad'

Splinter cell chaos theory(xbox): Co-op is hilarious, but the funniest thing is the door bash (when used on your team-mate).Its bonanza bros all over again!

Urban Chaos (pc): I know hardly anyone has played this game(which still remains one of my favourite games) but its choc full of funny moments, like at the start when the drunk driver says 'I aint drunk occifer' and if you aim your gun at him he runs away and the two cops near him start chasing him and shooting at him.

Hmm lets see:

Splinter Cell Chaos Theory: On one of the later levels you start on a rooftop and have to sneak through the air conditioning. If you grab the guy patrolling and interogate him he asks Sam "Who are you?", in which he replies - "Harry Tuttle. Heating engineer. At your service." If you haven't seen Brazil then you won't get it I thought it was a nice little touch.

Kingpin: There's a bit in one of the levels where there's three guys stood chatting. If you go up to the guy in the middle and hurl abuse at him, he comes back with this toughguy attitude and threatens to kick your ass, but keep on hurling abuse at him and eventually he'll back down and run off like a pansy. The remaining two guys just look at each other and call him a "feckin' pussy."

GTA: San Andreas: There's so much to choose from, but I nearly pissed me keks when CJ said "Are you a professional asshole, or just a gifted amateur?"

Mine have always been of my own making.

For example, I was playing through Story Of Thor with my friend. The main character was sprinting across the landscape when out pops an enemy carrying a spear and heads straight for me, colliding head on. For some reaon, both my friend and I found this to be the funniest thing we'd ever seen, and spent the next 20 minutes or so rolling around on the floor in utter hysterics.

Some of the dialogue between the mexican/latino chick and CJ in San Andreas had me in tears. It's mainly when they are on the way to a new place to rob when you work from her house in the mountains. I can't remember specifics right now but it was gold.

The other night I was playing Deus Ex, and I'd just entered Hells Kitchen, and I had just helped out in a fight between guards and NSF, and one of the guards had been hit by a tranq dart. The fight finished, and I walked up the guard and talked to him, and he said "We've got it under control" and then instantly collapsed from the dart. I was laughing for minutes at that one. I wish I had Fraps'd it. I might try and make it happen again.

a bit on the cutesy side but
when my penguin hopper told me he wanted to take over the town in animal crossing, just had visions of this crazy evil penguin dictator ruling me.

I think the introduction cutscene in possibly the third (may have been the fourth) chapter in Disgaea where Etna incites that she has pictures of Laharl's penis...

Another one for Chaos Theory - somehow whenever I play co-op I always manage to jump off higher ground straight onto the other player's head - thus killing them. Cracks me up everytime.

Especially funny on some of the longer weapon descriptions.

For me it's got to be some of the moments in Snake Eater... either conversations with para-medic or the total weirdness of a guard's life being threatened for information and him choosing to tell you about his commander's hat.

GTA Liberty City Stories

Telling my girlfriend that she's just been catapulted into the King of the Cosmos' ballzack and her going "Ohhhh...ehhhhh???...Oiiiii!!!"

I found shadow hearts 2 pretty funny when joacim shows up (masked) and hes doing his big introduction and yuri justs puts up his hands and rolls his eyes, haha it got me.

Funniest moment in a game for me was my own doing.

In KOTOR, before the final big battle I took every last bit of equipment, including clothing, from the other party members so that my character would have access to the very best inventory.

After a gruelling battle I eventually won. And so after a 50 hour epic I settled back to watch the final cutscene. It's reminiscent of the medal scene at the end of Star Wars with a big epic score and lots of ceremony.

But having stripped my characters of all their assets, they are standing there surrounded by hundreds of extras completely in the buff .

The funniest games this year though are Psychonauts or Amped 3. The former for the squirrels and the latter for the fantastic EA piss take, Colonotronic Arts Inc , an evil corporation trying to take over the world.

On GameGear Pengo when you beat a level and the penguin trips over
And in Perfect Dark when at some point (on the Pelagic II maybe?) there's a pair of guards and you shoot one and he collapses then the other guy checks him and says "I never did like him anyway".

In Resi 4, when youre climbing a ladder behind Ashley and she starts to shout things like "What are you looking at!" and "Pervert!"... not just becuase its funny... but becuase.. ahem... I was actually trying to see if you could actually look up there at the time....
