Agreed - I've only just splashed out on Shevchenko to boost my strike-force.

Thats the problem, I can't resist buying all the top players..
Even though it MAYBE spoils the gaming experience.

I grew a player, a striker to be correct and he is now one of the best forwards in the game..is that cheating?
All I did was what the game allowed me to do with the new player, adding points and stars for 1 season.

Not at all. In fact, I find "grooming" a player is a satisfying experience, as is uncovering the bargains that can be found within the game.

It's down to personal preference I guess. I just don't personally see the appeal of having Ronaldo, Raul, Van Nistelrooy and Shevchenko in the same squad, mainly because nobody would be able to compete with that strike-force.

I changed Fiorientina into Spurs and snapped up all our internationals in the transfer market. My team now looks like so:

GK: Keller

CB: Bunjevcevic, Cannavaro, Mokoena

DM: Davies, Toda

RW/LW: Carr, Ziege

OH: Okocha

CF: Keane, Rebrov

Subs: Sullivan, Sheringham, Acimovic, Iversen, Kewell, Aghahowa, Nakata

Rebrov and Keane seem to do the business for me.

CAN ANYONE tell me, DO they think EXTREME mode makes the CPU tougher??????.
Im starting to cry that the game is still too easy and the challenge has already ended for me.....
I played it on hard mode since the start, and trounced the CPU.
I recently started on extreme mode and im finding it EASIER than hard...
What the hell is going on

The game gets boring in 1-player anyway... I only ever play 2-player now, as the mighty Yugoslavia mostly.

Extreme is a tad tougher, and the AI cheats a lot more, but I still find it easy, Iv'e given up playing Master League because of this.

However I dusted off my copy of WE6:J-league, plays a much better game of Footy than Final Evolution IMO, this multiplayer will keep me happy until We7 on 7th August

It took me bout 3 seasons to get out of Div 3 on Div 2 n Div 1 striaght away though.

I was totally crap in my first season too, but then I made a few buys with whatever money I had scraped together and I ran away with the Div 3 title the next season.

I usually play a fast counter-attacking style with a large emphasis on wingers so I bought Duff (Ireland) and Babangida (Nigeria) to do that job. A new centre-forward is absolutely essential. At that time I bought Klose (Germany) to do the job, but there are others. Hunt around to get some good bargains. Carini (Uruguay) is great if you want a new keeper.

I didn't have a big problem defending with the default players. I used a flat back four and one or two defensive midfielders to help out. In general the goals I conceded were often down to my lack of skill rather than any jammy play from the computer, but you can't really do much about direct free kicks except not give them away.

The hardest part certainly is getting out of Division 3. If you buy the right players thereafter, the other Divisions aren't nearly so difficult (until you crank up the difficulty).

I have a feeling that I am going to have to fork out for the edit file, if I need to buy players in.

There are others butI'm at work so I don't have my whole roster handy. Despite my powerful lineup I'm stuck in D2 and I play on Normal and I have a difficult time...
