DS Lite - First look!

so whats the best case for my new ds lite

I'm using the HORI Compact Pouch

Available from Play-Asia in various colours, but are currently on back-order.

It can hold 8 DS carts (or 4DS/1GBA), a USB charger cable, and the Lite itself. All zipped up in a soft padded interior. Nice and compact, I'm going to order another one for the black Lite I'm getting next weekend.

Anyone know if the white ds lite starts to yellow after a while? Read that on another forum.

Depends how grubby you are I guess! Mine is still perfectly white.

Had a shot of a couple of these over the weekend - wow, what a difference - Even things like "westernising" the style - such nice touches. Gonna have to have me one of these

Is there any word on a possible price drop for the Original DS, one of my older mates fancies getting a DS but isn't fussed by the Lite, I'd heard somewhere (rumoured) that they might be selling the original DS for roughly ?55, he would be more than happy to pick up the older model for that price.

But I don't know if there is any truth to this? - Anyone?

I've gone off the lite since I had a fiddle with a dummy model in GAME last week I'd been hyping it up in my head so much that it was bigger and heavier than I was expecting and I still prefer the looks of the original.

Still, since it was a dummy model I still haven't seen the screen quality which is what I care most about. The original isn't going for bargain prices on ebay yet either so they're both in the running for my favour at the mo.

So what are Game going to do with all these original DS' they have - sell them second hand or have they got some sort of buyback agreement with Nintendo?

original DS will probably not see a drastic price drop... look at the SP and micro. whilst different yet the same they hold sim ilar price tags

i can see the normal DS dropping to ?49.97 pre owned, ?69.99 new or there abouts

saying that tho, all the time the pink and blue packs sell out there isnt a need to drop the price atall

I had a hold of one in game too, the assistant told me it was heavier than the actual units.

i was going to trade in a factory sealed Full auto, sealed amped 360 and and a sealed outrun 2006: coast to cost but they offered me ?32 for them

Nope, no thumb stick included.

My friend and I both bought the black DS lite last week. However, his upper screen is somewhat yellower, less brighter then his lower screen. Mine DS is exactly the opposite. Anyone else noticed this differences?

Traded mine two times because of a deadpixel on the upper screen. Still got one in the upper screen but on the lower border of the screen, so it isn't really distracting. I am really way too lazy to trade it for a third time .

If you mean the thumbstrap that came with the original, then no. Ninty have stopped including them with the console.
