WE6FE Patching Greatness

Hey folks, after getting myself a fully legit version of WE6FE and a Messiahed PS2, I have to say that hock dikkity damn patching the game is great.

I've only done WeDoIt3 so far, but its bloody fantastic. I'm gonna try Dynamo's all in one, I am having trouble with DrXrays league version though.

Any patch pointers? I am actually thinking of working out how to do it all myself, maybe a special Sheffield Wednesday through the years edition.

I think that the best bits from Dynamo's patch are in WeDoIt 3.0 mate.

But, the Wendetta Club Edition Patch looks pretty good, if only I could find a reliable source. >_<

Wendetta Club Edition Patch, that on soccered.com or is that the issue? Or is it the WeDoIt Club edition, I get lost quickly with all these patches.

Do these patches change all the menus into english as well, or is it just the player names?

I have the gamecube version, but am having trouble getting to grips with it, and am thinking about getting a modded PS2 and going down the patching route.

Yep. It changes all the menus into English.

That's exactly what I did Mallet, I knew the GC would be good, but the game is unplayble for my housemates, so I got my ps2 patched and did it that way.

The basic patches wil anglicise the menus and player names, the mega patches will update all the teams, logos, kits, grounds, stats, the works. It just makes the best football game in the world that much better.

The ?ber patches make the entire game into say the entire Premier League and nationwide, and theres a Italian league and I think a spanish one too, I haven't tried any of those yet though.

Anyone know where I can get an english manual for WE6FE there is some stuff going on I can't work out.

you cannot patch the gc version.

i have 8 different versions of we6 fe now - and I have to say the patch situation makes this game one of the best games ever released. when you see each player looking like its real-life counterpart, all the names in english, all the kits correct down to kit manufacturer logo, players wearing their real-life boots, crowd chants taken directly from each teams fans (sent a shiver down my spine when the Kop started singing 'You'll never walk alone'), even different footballs. then add in new music, intros etc ---- a chipped ps2 is a must for footie fans.

probably the best patches at the mo are the Wedoit 3.0 patch with eng<>ital patch added (use this for international matches) and the wedoit club edition patch for european club teams.

The patch I use is the WeDoIt 3.0 but the names for the players are still in Japanese which is irritating. Any solutions for this?

Also they have changed the replay music to something truly dreadful. Nasty.

delete any save files you have on your memory card - wedoit 3 should be in italian unless you have also added the eng/ital patch

Think it's actually Michelle Branch, but I could be wrong.

I actually heard a story that the developers got a hold of the patch and decided that the patched version was better than what they currently had in development for WE7, who knows, could be true

Not sure who it is but it makes replays incredibly painful.

However Europe - The Final Countdown is an inspired choice and had me laughing my head off when I booted it up for the first time.

Oh and yes, I have deleted the save file and everything is fine. Silly me. Cheers guys!

WE-UK have released the premiership/division 1 patch for wefe.

There are some great patching tips over at the Evo-Web forums. Putting your own choice of music in is a must.
