What You'd Like To See On The Marketplace

Maybe some dev-type peeps will read our ideas and we'll see the implemented one day Apparently it's a piece of piss to get a game certified etc and onto the marketplace and not too costly - Any programmers wanna get a project on the go ? 8)

I'd like to see a game akin to Supercars2 by Magnetic Fields which appeared on the Amiga / ST back in the day - Was a top down racing game akin to Super Sprint but with scrolling tracks and homing missiles/guns/mines etc - You could upgrade the cars/weapons and all sorts - also it was splitscreen multiplayer and was a LOT of fun. Great skiddy feeling on corners and just an allround great game. Would love to see it with LIVE play for 4-8 players and stuff - would be a riot.

Or how about Speedball 2 with LIVE multiplayer ? You could use your own team you'd built up playing the league to take on the best of the best - Brutal Deluxe FTW !!!!!

Xybots, one of my fave retro arcade games, is crying out for this.

Speedball 2 would indeed be excellent.

    CHAOS!!!

Some retro shoot-em-ups would be great for 2 player modes ... ThunderCross, R-Type Leo, etc ... I seem to remember a canned Raiden Fighters conversion for XBox1 ...

Some scrolling beat-em-ups ... Final Fight, AVP, and the like.

Yeah, Speedball 2 and Supercars2 would totally rock (I have some found memories of these 2 games) ! An online super nashwan league !!
ps. I know a program were you are able to emulate Speedball2 (and more, like IK+) and be able to play it online ! (when I'm at home I'll post you the link)

What would like to see is simple : A NEW TEMPEST (from Jeff Minter) !!

or just games like Geometry Wars, Mutant Storm are more then welcome !

I'd prefer not to see too many more arcade conversions, but that's probably because I've got a cab to play on.

What I really do enjoy are the pseudo arcade classic "updates", such as Marble Blast. I happily bought that, but probably wouldn't bother with a straight port of Marble Madness. Less anyone gets the wrong idea, this isn't because Blast is 3D, I'm all for 2D graphics. It's simply because it brings more to the table, and is great fun.

Live Arcade should be all about multiplayer fun. For a couple of quid you get a great little game to play online, and it's even better if the games supported multiplayer action on one console.

I'd also like to see a new game every week, but there is already a danger of repetition as seen with Crystal Quest. We've enough "move with left stick shoot with right" style games, and unless it's something to top Geometry Wars or add an amazing Live experience, I think it's a waste of developer's time.

So what would I like to see? Speedball 2 would be a great idea, but I'd like it with proper HD graphics and effects, not a cheap / quick port. I don't recall Supercars2, but that sounds like the perfect Live game, something along the lines of Mashed and Circuit Breakers. I'd also like to see something along the lines of Toobin, with some kind of co-op mode like in Amped 3 with the tires tethered together

How about NBA Jam or Unirally?

If the Dreamcast -> 360 rumours are true, then I'd love to see Powerstone.

But again, I'd want the in HD widescreen, not windowed in the middle of my TV. Keep them simple, but don't be lazy. Give them a nice graphical overhaul (not necessarily turning 2D to 3D) and make us feel the game is worth buying. Always think about Live / multiplay.

My last suggestion is also the game I'd like to see the most. A 2D Worms update

Not everyone has the room or money to buy their very own arcade machine

And I did read an interview saying that worms may just be heading to live in all its 2d goodness

Cool thanks for giving me some optimism

BTW cabs can be quite cheap if you're prepared to put the work in to them, but that's getting way off topic....

I'd like to see some arcade games that haven't been released on home consoles before. I'd be willing to fork out ?20 for the likes of ESP.Ra.De, Guwange, Scud Race, Star Wars Arcade, Aliens Vs Predator etc...

Sticking to ancient, played-to-death stuff like SFII seems like a wasted opportunity.

                      Bomberman LIVE HAS to happen.
Really do like the indie game potential here, so less of the conversions and more original stuff.

I'd like to see a truly 'budget' console label (RRP around ?2.99 - ?4.99) that distributed all kinds of weird tat. There could be obscure Japanese games that have been waiting to be licensed over here for yonks, old ports of Amiga, PC and 8-bit stuff and no-frills console stuff developed by very small teams of nobodies. Maybe compilations of various trashy-looking but playable games, similar to the Yaroze compilation given away by the Official PS1 mag. Something cheap 'n cheerful.

Chaos - Battle of the Wizards.

Yes it's an old Spectrum game, but 8 player over live would be ace.

Mines the space issue, i havent got room

Sega rally would be nice but I think im looking at larger games eh?

another vote for a tempest update, great game
