I've just read the press release for that Roboblitz and it says the Arcade version will be under 50 Meg. It also mentions it uses the Unreal 3 engine .

If that's true, the DC rumours are not going to happen. But certainly there is much potential for old MD games to appear on Marketplace.
Considering what can be squeezed out, ChuChu Rocket! on the GBA is tiny (a few meg), so I can't imagine the 360 version not being small.

Sega could release discs of DC games, a pack of four in fact!

For me, I just want the Live Arcade to be exactly that. All my old favourite arcade games like Final Fight, Street Fighter II, Sega Rally, Ridge Racer II all playable against other people across XBL.

M$ have obviously learned a lot from the modders, and the Live Arcade should negate the need to mod a 360 to run emulators.

How would it negate that need? You have to pay for these games, you wouldn't have to pay for an emulator.

They got SOO many they cud use too. I'd pay ?40 a time no question... especially for an online playable ver of Toy Commander, that would be sooooooo amazing.

Just a rumour. I'd love to see it happen, but perhaps it will not be before MS release a larger HD drive. 20gb will soon fill up if people are downloading 1.5gb DC games.

Heck, 360 Blue Burst would rock so much, A Marketplace download isn't inconcievable, the PC game was a free download and not much larger than the demos avaliable on Marketplace (smaller than some, in fact).

But rumour has it PSU may be 360 bound. http://www.psolife.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15175

Only multi-disc games like Shenmue and Shenmue 2 were ever above 1GB. The discs themselves were 1GB so these 1.5GB games don't exist. Most were 50 - 600MB IIRC.

would it be possible to compress em like the ISOs did (downloaded like 50mb then extracted it to burn and yes, I own the originals, I have a complete PAL set :P) to allow downloadin to be quicker? wasn't Cosmic Smash like 3mb too? XD
