The PS3 could be released with 2 games and everybody would still buy it. At the end of the day it's got massive support like the PS1/2 and you just know (based on the support) it's going to have some must have games (maybe not at launch, but it will get them soon enough) and new IP you'll want to play, plus you'll have a Blu-Ray player too.

Gaming "as it is now" is in the least stale and boring stage, it's the most exciting it has ever been. ICO reissued, no one really expected that, especially not on this sort of scale. Shadow of the Colossus selling ****eloads. 14 360 games at launch, as well as loads online (with an online system fully functional with loads of other stuff) to download. Guitar Hero in Europe?! TA! The launch wasn't weak, it had a load of great games, and not one stinker.

Believe it or not, I feel the PSP has had the best launch lineup in recent times. It had 3 quality games I really wanted on day one.
That's because it had a year to get it's arse into gear and launch over here, now it has nothing to look forward to aside from Power Stone.

What does that matter? We're not talking about exclusive games are we? And the 360 version is out now and has been for months, where is this PS3 version?

In your opinion maybe. Personally, I'm looking forward to the new G'n'G game and a few others.
Anyway, it was actually the Japanese machine I was talking about. There were still 3 games I wanted that launched with the system.

UK launch was poor though if you break it down to the "new" stuff. Rough ports of Colin McRae, TOCA etc were hardly worth waiting 10 months for.

Of course that's in my opinion, who elses would it be? The Ghouls game doesn't interest me, never a fan of the original.

I don't believe there were three JAP launch games worth buying, Ridge was the only one that could keep my interest.

Nothing on it was worth the wait. The whole platform is fairly boring.

The best launch line up IMO is the 360. 18 games, all HD, Xbox Live compatible and sold worldwide simultaneously. Worst launch line up has to go to the Gamecube and DS.

Yeah, but for some reason it was like ?60 or ?70. If I remember correctly the N64 launch titles in the UK were Super Mario 64, Pilotwings 64, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, and Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire. I wouldn't say any of those were bad even if SOTE had several appalling levels. I still have nightmares about the swoop bike chase.

And on the subject of the 360 launch I didn't leave out Condemned deliberately. 'Twas an excellent game and I probably would count it as an exclusive because it's not out on the PC for a while and won't be out on the PS3 until that shows up, probably around 2008 at the rate they're showing information.

Didnt the amiga cd32 launch with no games ?
Think that could be classed as the worse launch line up ever.

Anyone know of lists for all the consoles and there complete launch line up?

Woot, Ghouls and Ghosts looks just like Castlevania DS does.
So glad I bought a PSP now...

This just in: "After Sony's latest attempt to blatently rip off the DS with a near enough clone of nintendogs, the decision was made to downscale the graphics used in future games to capture the essense of "we don't care anymore, we may as well release a massive **** with the sony logo printed on it and people will still buy it" Future plans for the system reveal a redesign - Sony bigwigs have yet to finalise the design, however insider reports state that a "clamshell" model seems most likely"
