If Sony can get Konami to release Metal Gear Solid 4 at the launch of the PlayStation 3, that will likely push me to get a PS3 at launch... unless it costs a lot.

I'll do what I did with the 360 - buy as many as possible and pimp them on ebay, get my PS3 effectively for free and make a few quid.

I will definetly getting a PS3. Although I will be getting all three consoles,I am more excited by the PS3. GT5, MGS4, DMC3, are system sellers.

A lot of my favourite developers are now part of Sony worldwide studios aswell.

Doubt it highly. I've never liked the way Sony do gaming and me trying to get into the PS2 was a disaster. I think it'll be Rev only for me and very possibly a 360 when they become cheap, and if they get some more games that make use of my TV's high definition as well as it's colour pallete.

Its hard to say if i'm gonna get a ps3 on launch or not, but judging by previous playstations i've waited until something that grabs me comes out. Release God Of War 2 on launch and it's sold, however.

Price doesn't matter if it's a PS3. Especially if it's a £70 difference. Hence why loads of people didn't buy Cubes at £130 and Xboxes at £200.

Planing to go to New York around Thanksgiving time so will hope to pick up a PS3 and a Rev while i'm out there. Still don't have an Xbox 360 nor any impotus to get one so might aswell get the other 2 (games pending of course), although might treat myself to a DS sometime soon.

I?ll be importing one (from the US), but it?s highly unlikely I?ll do so at launch given the likely shortages, plus the fact that I?m probably going to feel somewhat wary of investing in first or second wave runs of the hardware which might perhaps be a little unstable. When the run of games starts getting good I?ll certainly make the move to adopt one. I?ve no intention of using it for Blu Ray playback, as I?d rather have a dedicated player (if Blu Ray even becomes the victor in the format war that is).

So really I am treating the PS3 much as I currently am the Xbox 360. I?ll certainly get one, but I?ll leave it until the time feels right. I?m also not entirely ready to invest in consoles that will offer Hi Def benefits when I?ve not yet decided upon what HDTV to purchase. I?d rather experience the best from such gaming hardware the moment I take it out of the box, so still being stuck with the CRT is another factor in my decision as to when I buy into the next-gen.

I can say that an imported Revolution is the only [next gen] console I know I will have in my possession by the end of this year.

I hope the US version doesn't get delayed until 2007. I'm not getting the JPN version because i had a JPN PS2 and not being able to read the text sometimes was a pain in the arse. It would be awesome if Konami's new Gradius title was ready, for launch. Now that would be sweet!

As for a killer launch title: Virtua Fighter 5 please.

if the dates are a few months apart (4-5), then i'll get US and JP machines on launch. If they are say 1 month apart, then i'll get a US machine and wait a few months and pick up a JP machine, unless of course its region free.
