I'm with TeamAndromeda on that one - dunno about a 10 I'd say it was definately worth a 9 though. Superb game - oodles of variety (the star wars bit was ace) and the graphics were exceptional - I can imagine via VGA it would still look (and play) awesome today.
They ****ed up with Rayman3 though which was gutting

only game imo that should have deserved an 10 was Goldeneye .

FF7, Ico and GTA all have plenty enough wrong with them to make them unworthy of the Ten status, I'd say. I've no problem with them being Nines, so I'm not about to go on a full-scale slanging match at them, but in each case I'd hold off the perfect score. FF7 offers little over FF6 other than lots of FMV, Ico has a whole bunch of platform jumpy bits that are really annoying with their camera system and GTA suffers from a really slow first third and generally failed to grab in the way Vice City did.

Rayman II was almost there, but the 3D camera system wasn't as good as that seen in 64 (the only flaw inthe whole game). But the gameplay was there , and thats all that counts in my eye's
God only nows what happend with Rayman III though, it was sh8t

review scores should be taken light heartedly, an opinion of one person isn't infallible, in that case many games in my opinion should be given 10/10 - mario 64, shenmue, mario world, gta vice city, and of course the aforementioned goldeneye. However EDGE and many of their readers take the scoring system too seriously, the mark a game gets isn't just an opinion but a score that reflects the overall quality of the game, the 10/10 mark is sacred and should be used sparingly. But with the way that EDGE views the way it scores games should any game be worthy of 10/10? as 10/10 would assume perfection. But even the most genre defining games available throughout history each has their own flaws which moves it ever so far away from perfection, in the end perfection is unattainable. So whats the point in marking out of 10 when realistically the best any game can get is a 9? Review scores should be taken as opinion only and nothing else, so maybe there is no need for a scoring system at all.
