Truly great arcade ports

Having just seen evo running I would say it's as perfect as could be expected,lighting and texture detail being the obvious ommisions.

Personally I think Third Strike,MVC2,and Capcom vs SNK on dreamcast were perfect Arcade conversions.

Marble Madness on the Amiga.

Both ran on 68000 CPUs.

They took the original C code and recompiled it for the Amiga, but had to do some major rewrites for the Amiga gfx system and put much of the main loop into assembly language.

As far as I could tell it was pretty much perfect, but then I wasn't very good at it. The first two or three levels were perfect, though.

I would say Soul Calibur as well even though I do agree with Saurian to some extent.
