This is one of the reasons I don't relish a digital only distribution future, that and no refunds or trade-ins or second hand bargains, support being dropped, corrupted storage. That's before we even get to having something on the shelf to look at.

I believe there are a couple of things that were reduced in price, such as the first GRAW map pack ( from 1200->600 ) and of course the GoW map pack is becoming free next month.

Given there's little in the way of competition to force price reductions for market place stuff ( where else are you going to get it? ), there's not much incentive to reduce the prices.

Couldn't agree with you more there Marty. I know it's slightly OT, but thats one of the reasons I will be buying physical media for Warhawk, as opposed to downloading it. I would just rather have something in my hands for my money.

Dash details for today's releases :

I always thought that some of the first xbox live arcade games would get a price cut at some point but the likes of zuma are still 800 points and proably will be till the end of time.

          Costing solution :

When a game goes budget/classic you half the cost of the DLC.

When a game goes budget I see even less incentive for Publishers to reduce DLC prices - a whole raft of new owners chomping at the bit for extra content.

Anyone tried Ecco ? never played the original so it'll be a whole new "experience" for me

From what I remember, it was some eco warrior type of game where the "fun" was learning about the underwater creatures. Joy!

Anyone know if Ecco is the SEGA CD version with the beautiful Spencer Nilsen music, or the original Genesis version?

Just played 5 mins ago and I think it's the orginal music but I have TERRIBLE memory problems so it could be the mega cd version lol. Fun tho but ROCK hard !

You can disable it manually through the guide button can't you?

Ecco is indeed the standard MD version and not the enhanced Mega CD version. Really a shame as the music in the MCD version was absolutely beautiful, still one of the best ever video game soundtracks.

Boost jump into the sky and it all kicks off. Then start talking to the survivors.

Only played the trial and as you only get a couple of mins before being prompted to buy the full version it's hard to say for sure.

From what played it didn't seem drastically different from Hexic apart from the edition of 2 player & battle modes. The core gameplay seems more or less identical though.

Presentation wise it's taken a turn for the worse in my opinion. It looks much more 'cluttered' & I found it hard to see what 'tiles' I was highlighting. It also looks kind of washed out and much less vibrant than the original...almost like playing in a room full of chainsmokers!

I'd possibly spend 400 points but based on the trial 800 seems very steep unless.
