Oh I agree, I have had fair few moments in this old thread about MS points and games even being worth 800 points, let alone 1200 or even 1600!
I won?t be buying Ep 1 or 2 of this, Ep1 demo was off but it didn?t hook me in enough to spend. Was just wondering how long it's going to go on for? if they pump out another 2 ep's at 1200, that would be a total of ?44.20.
Kinda hits home a bit about episodic gaming and where it could go or is going.

Think what MS need instead of delisting are steady price drops for older games, I mean perfect example Roboblitz is STILL 1200 after almost 2 years on arcade. Gradually dropping the price would have maybe been better for it and seen some new sales, have it come down to 800 in 2007, then maybe 400 in 2008 2 years on.
At least try and get some extra sales instead of it just staying there taking up space growing older and feeling more overpriced every year.

You would think it would make sense to drop the prices of these older games that have surely made their money instead of the odd few days they have reduced some of the weaker titles. I may be inclined to pick up a title I have passed over if I see its a little cheaper than it used to be, I for one never paid for the extra Lumines content & probably never will, due to the audacity of the way it was released & also the bloody awful 360 dpad which ruins my fun

The fact its accepted now that even weak titles are now 800 or above I think it shows even through recessions they can do what they want in pricing but some of these recent titles should be the old format of 400 points, a crime that they stopped making titles at this nice budget price

I agree its a shame the 400 price point seems to have vanished. I was pretty much buying most of the 400 priced retro games and quite a few of the 800s. I have now stopped buying arcade titles completely as you say completely average games are now being released at 800 and not one of the 1200 games i would class as value for money.

I agree with comment about how they should drop over time say once its been available for a year. That sounds like an excellent idea.

I don't understand why map packs of games that are barely, if at all, played are still 800/1200 points years later too, like CoD2, Perfect Dark and Stranglehold, whereas some DLC gets reduced pretty quicky, a la GRAW. Surely, if you made them free now and made a little song and dance about it, it might get a few people playing those games for a couple of weekends too.

Obviously, this is a thinly veiled moan that nobody plays CoD2 anymore.

Tomb Raider Demo is up.
Looks nice, apart from one of the first things you see is massive black jaggy shadows on Lara :P

I can't understand it, they spend all the money to create a game like this then one of the main areas they are obsessed with (lara's looks) takes a beating the minute you start.

I had forgotten how totally awesome multiplayer Marble Blast is. Could do with a few new single player maps as well please! Or even MB2!

I downloaded the trial of Vigilante 8 and none of the play options would work I had a nice time reading the how to play section before deleting it.
