Agreed, a total waste of time when you consider the potential for Arcade. Galaga.. Pacman... hardly the most thrilling of content is it.

When you consider the CP2 emu on PSP gives me perfect Gigawing and Mars Matrix action, give or take, then yes Marcus; We aren't getting the most thrilling content!

i was talking to the exec producer of it yesterday and he says that it is far better than the PC version. it has shinier graphics, HDR, new maps and all the multiplayer upgrade stuff.

he says the controls/interface have been really tuned for the console and its a better game than the original and the the multiplayer is supposed to be excellent on it

i forgot to ask about 60 fps and a demo tho...

release is november

Loved FEAR on the PC....I will have to get it again as it will look lovely in HD goodness....my graphics card is really not up to scratch!

hmm, im suspicious of it being 'far better' than the pc one. for a start its no way in hell gonna be 60fps, only cod2 has been so far its gfx are relatively simple compared to this. its gonna be more like condemned. ill certianly give the demo a go. either way its a very enjoyable game, even it 99% of it is in an office :P

As for the previous comments, a few people over at Rllmuk have been saying the game is fairly ridiculous (and not in a good way) from extensive playtests they've had with the game.

If it is I'll eat my 360. And my Saturn. And the Dreamcast for dessert. And maybe the xbox dvd dongle or something as an after-eight.

Look at the 60fps games we've got already - DOA4, COD2, Table Tennis, Chromehounds for christ's sake - and it's pretty much a given that it won't be 30fps.

I tried the fear demo on my laptop and the scariest thing was the frame rate (in spite of my playing it in the dark with the earphones and poltergeist 2 on the telly in front of me). And my laptop manages up to 100fps on HL2 at the good settings.

I wonder if half life 2 will be 60fps, though. I hope it is.

Mind you I've been thinking - 30fps is lame when you're using a mouse, but to me it seems to fit the twin-stick layout. Maybe that's just because all the console fps's i like tend to be 30fps anyway. But really, when it's 60fps, the dodginess of the analogue sticks becomes more apparent...
