heh yeah, I just dicked about in it and earned 75 Gamerscore. So far, nothing terribly exciting goin on, you can't gain access to the games in the game packs you've downloaded so I just spent a bit of time demoing some god awful games.

I tried to buy one game from the Showcase Arcade and it wouldn't let me, also viewing the leaderboards results in "Game Room servers not available" which shows the thing is properly busted.

I do like the rewind feature which reminds me of another poo game, Braid. I just keep playing/rewinding/dying/repeating until I get bored and turn it off.

edit: It seems to work normally now, no idea what the game packs are for, I still don't have any games!

It's not much of a list. The 2600/Intellivision titles are probably not much more than 5 minute curiosities.

Ain't that the truth.

You get a 10 minute demo of every game. If you decide to quit before the demo is up you lose the demo forever. And don't bother trying to get round it by quitting straight to the dash. It doesn't work. Yes, I tried it.

From what I can tell 75G is the manimum you can get before you have to start spending Moon Bucks.

Bit of an odd selection to showcase the system. Guess they wanted to make sure more folk had Game Room before wheeling out the games they probably had to pay more in licence fees for.

I bought Outlaw just to show how crap games used to be, it'll definitely get wheeled out after a Rock Band session for pure fits and giggles.

The game is basically reverse pong but with a catcus in the middle, rubbish!

Just finished off the download and having a quick go, please excuse the probably dim questions I'm about to ask!

I've not really been paying any attention to this so I don't really know what's on the way but have they given any idea about newer games than the ones in that list is it just the really old stuff? I'm guessing that as it seems to be a set price of 240 points that Intellivision & Atari 2600 are the sort of things that I should be expecting in the future?

I've got a horrible feeling that this will be a bit like the iPhone App Store where I'm just buying stuff as it's so cheap even though I don't particularly want it.

What was included in the two game packs I downloaded as when I try the cabs it's asking me if I want the game? Is the Game Mascot item that your told about an avatar thing?

Intellivision and Atari 2600 stuff are not what you should be expecting in future. From what I understand it will be a lot like Virtual Console in the content... but also a lot of arcade games.

No idea whats in those two packs though All those mascots and themes?

The game mascot is something that sits in your arcade. It isn't an avatar thing and can't be viewed outside of Game Room.

There are going to be arcade releases and games from other early systems. Neo Geo and Dreamcast games have been rumoured, but what the price will be for these - who can say?

I'm thinking that it actually means the cabs and that the games still need to be paid for as I can't access them.

That's a bit odd isn't it... You'd think all that stuff would be downloaded automatically for you when you log on. Having them as addon packs (when you still have to buy the games extra) sounds a bit janky to me.
