3D Platformer? That's my kinda thing! Nothing new out this week, though, it seems. Unless they're just being unbelievably slow in telling us. There's no price cuts either which they usually chuck up on barren weeks. Lame.

There's some new DLC for Midnight Club LA on marketplace, new area and some cars, all of it's free. No one appears sure if that's correct so you might want to grab it quick! It's MASSIVE though. 20gb need not apply.

Cheers for that. I'd been expecting it to be free though. Must've read it somewhere. It's only 1.37 GB, so not too bad.

I read that the new map was free, but I'm sure there was meant to be stuff to purchase too, which is what I assumed the cars and stuff were, so there's confusion!

The description on the Marketplace says the cars are free too. Probably have to be bought in the game though.

This is from the official site

The "South Central Upgrade Map" provides players with a whole new area of the city, about one-third the size of the original map, and will be available for free. This area features L.A. landmarks such as Exposition Park, the USC campus, Shrine Auditorium, Crenshaw Plaza, and the L.A. Memorial Coliseum and stretches south to the 105 Freeway. In addition to the free new city area, players will be able to purchase the "South Central Content Pack" which includes new character competitions, races, cars and music available in a single complete package. The new vehicles include a variety of cars and a motorcycle. Also making an appearance for the first time in Midnight Club Los Angeles will be SUVs, a longtime favorite of the series' fans.
The number of identically sized downloads is making it all a bit confusing. Ah well, it's got now!

Having explored this a bit I think someone may have made a boo-boo. While downloading one pack I tried to download another and got the message "this item already exists in the download queue". I suspect that three of the packs are pointing to the wrong thing and that two of them should have a price tag.

The other three Midnight Club packs are now showing as 1GB. I can't tell if there's a charge for them as xbox.com is showing them as already downloaded for me.

And now all the new Midnight Club DLC has disappeared. I suspect the boo-boo is being rectified.

Yeah forgot to post the trailer.
                        Here it is.

There is a funny one on the web site where he introduces the Maw to a venus fly trap style enemy, it snaps at the maw and just his little face when he screams, made me chuckle as he runs/slides off screaming and hides behind a tree.
Music sounds great too, apparently done by the lady that wrote some of the God of War score, Winifred Phillips.

As for the Midnight Club packs, have MS made a boo boo maybe?
I downloaded all 4 packs and they are showing in my download history, so will see what happens.

Can I actually trust these websites which are given 12/13 month live codes away for just under £30? If I did decide to purchase one, would I be able to get my money back if I don't receive the code?

Who are they? Post the name here, chances are someone's used them and can tell you if they're OK.

Arcade stuff has been announced at last - from GamerScoreBlog:

There?s nothing like a jam packed January from Xbox LIVE Arcade...
And yes, to follow last weeks dire release of Interpol, this week sees the epic release of a little bit of Castle Crashers DLC for 160 points and next week is The Maw. Does someone at Microsoft not know the meaning of "jam packed?"

I've seen quite a few sites being mentioned on this forum and my live trial runs out on the 19th.
