Just skim read that article and it was quite funny, tbh. The guy made some valid points, too.

I liked it, thought it was a good read and the writer certainly had a few valid points.

That wasn't the point, which is why we never pointed out that the Revolution is the first console in history that can be played while masturbating.
Excellent article and sums up how I feel about the Revolution right now...It'll be a nice friend for the 360 but I just don't see it working in the long run.

I doubt any kind of fanboy will see the light.

Take away the fact the games on revolution and what do we have? An ok looking shooting game. Holding a gun and shooting could of been perfected with the release of Time Crisis nearly 10 years ago. Who's to say this will be any diffrent?

Anywho the article is a wake up call to the fanboys. But they wont change their mind and the informed already know...

Unfortunatly your correct most fanboys won't even admit there one in the first place so they will just say the article doesn't apply to them. The guy does raise some good points and sums up everything about why fanboys are the most trivial and saddist thing about gaming.

I did think that the guy's description of the revolution controller as being purely a lightgun derivative was somewhat misinformed.

I felt the point he was trying to make was more along the lines of ... what other games would it be worth using on? Golf, Tennis etc...but what about Basketball, Football...RPG's?

I'm sure I'll wind up getting a Revolution at some point, but it's definitely not a top priority. I don't really see where it is going at the moment beyond what people have talked about already, and most of those ideas already have a peripheral available as an add on.

I had the same feeling about the DS before launch. I really enjoy playing on it (more than the PSP at the moment), but of the games I love only Touch Kirby really needs the touch stylus. Obviously the DS has sold fantastically though, so Nintendo must be happy.

BTW, "John Dies at the End" is a brilliant, creepy horror story on the same site. Probably a bit marmite, but one thing you can say about it is it's innovative

Call me a fanboy, but I swear I read EXACTLY the same sort of rants minus the humour just before the DS launch...

"These aren't people who are looking forward to the Revolution because they thought the Gamecube was awesome and want more of the same. They're looking forward to it because they think it will make Nintendo "win" the next round of console wars and that somehow the glory of the victory will spill over onto them."

                              Think's of Kotatsu Neko!
