    Datel Xbox 360 Headset Adapter

    Finally!

I was hoping a 360 dongle would be released that's compatible with Xbox headsets and more specifically the Plantronics Halo 2 one.

I know you can access headset options in the guide menu, but it's so much easier and quicker using the dongle controls.

No need to buy a Plantronics X30 now.

    Edit: Codejunkies direct link

I see it's the number 1 best seller at the moment too.

That is handy, my Halo 2 headset is destroyed and you can't buy replacement earbuds for it

Check out Plantronics' X30 then. It's not available in the UK yet, but can be imported. Details on the Plantronics US web site under Gaming.

Ah, brilliant! I've been waiting for someone to make something like this so that I could use my Halo 2 headset since the 360 one is so damn uncomfortable. It works fine but the inability to mute myself is really inconvenient.

It's only ?4.99 as well, so there's no excuse not to.

I'd seen it but I didn't think it was out yet

I wish they'd make one that would let you use generic PC gaming headsets.

I think I'll probably get it (or the X30), Whenever I play Halo 2 my X360 headsets stop working suddenly, kinda annoyinh :/

A universal adapter that gives a 360 controller a XB1 communicator slot would have been better. That way any XB headset (like the Logitech cordless headset) would work.

A few UK users at another forum I visit got theirs last week, I think they bought it from GameSpot.

I ordered one of these from Datel's Codejunkies web site, ?4.99 delivered. They are out of stock at the moment, but are expecting more in the next 7-14 days, they said it's a very popular item. Looks like we weren't the only ones waiting for such a dongle.

Brilliant. I still use my plantronics (Halo 2) headset on my 360 and the only thing I've missed the the lack of volume control or mute button. So this is music to my ears. Consider it bought

Speaking of headsets, has anyone else seen this:

Looks nice, but I'd want some impressions before spending ?60 on a headset.

Uhh its datel, they've probably found the cheapest, nastiest Bluetooth headset they can find, then botch jobbed it in a 360 pad. Nice idea though

I'd buy that just for the bluetooth dongle - and use my Jaxra headset with it

The ?4.99 adapter arrived yesterday and is well worth it.
