Luigi's Mansion - anyone still rate this game?

Thinking of buying Luigi's Mansion (better late than never). Just wondering what long time owners think of the title a few years on. An underrated gem or mediocre launch title?

Definately & underrated gem. Yeah some people hate it & put it down for not been the mario launch title they wanted.

But i like it for what it is, which is a very fun little game.

When i first got my japanese cube this was my only game & i was amazed by how it looked. From the super realistic shadows to the way you could suck the fabric up with your vacume & it moved so realistically. Little touches like luigi humming while he's scared made it special.

when I first got my gamecube, it was the only game I had. So, naturally I played it to death and I loved every minute of it. Particularly the 'boss' battles, they were set up really nicely with nice gimmicks. The whole torch/hoover thing is a great little device and implemented superbly. One can only wonder what sort of control you could have over it with the rev. controller. For me it also really showcased the power of the gamecube pretty well for what was a launch title.

It's short and sweet also.

i love,love luigi's mansion.Great,fun gameplay mechanic's and the lighting/fabric movement is still impressive.Defintely underrated imo.

Ignore him each ghost has a diffrent way to catch it and though the puzzles may not be super hard they are lots of fun, there certenley not repetitive.

i dont rember haveing to do the same thing over and over or where you just rubbish at this and kept dying
