Legend of Stafi series - Why no western release?

Im a bit slow. Thats a fact. And I only just read the ntsc-uk 'Legend of Stafi Trilogy (GBA) review. And now I want one. Number 3 to be exact.

Given that we get Kirby games whether we want them or not, and Kirby is very weird and sickly cute - why hasnt Nintendo released Stafi in the west?

Is there a hope in hell of it being released in the US? Or is it all Final Fantasy ports from here on?

Those that own Densetsu no Starfi 3 - is it import friendly? No 'need to know' japanese text?

Shoudl I bother with the first 2 games given the expense (not cheap online)and the general view that game 3 is the 'SMB3' of the series?

True, well the 2nd part. But mediocre? People seem to rate Stafi 3 pretty highly. What other original GBA platformers are there? Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Drill Dozer? Stafi 3 doesnt match up well with these?

I recently picked up Stafi 4 for the DS, which is the first Stafi game I've played. From what I've read it's more of the same from the third game. It's not bad, just a fairly average, straightforward platformer variant. Nowt special really- I couldn't see it exactly selling loads over here to be honest.

Mmmm.... Now Im having second thoughts about buying Stafi 3. Two replies and nothing nice to say about it.

Has anyone here got both Kirby & the Amazing Mirror and Legend of Stafi 3? Which sickly cute average title is better?
